Dive supplies

There are a great number of diving supplies available. Sometimes the sheer multitude of available equipment intimidates first time divers. Good scuba diving equipment information can make the use and/or purchase of scuba gear a bit easier. If you are just starting out, always feel free to ask the dive store manager for advice.
In order to move best in the water, divers should have fins, a mask, a weight belt, and a snorkel. These supplies allow you to maneuver, see and breathe underwater. A wetsuit, additionally, is designed to be used in water and helps maintain body temperatures. You will need all of these things. From there, available supplies become more optional.

These supplies include nose plugs, dive watches, cameras, compasses, dive lights and more. If you are going diving as part of a large group, you might not absolutely need something like a compass; however, if you do become at all disoriented, it is not a bad idea to have one. Determine what you’ll be doing and what you can afford, and work from there.
