Dive gear
The essential dive gear components including the snorkel,
fins and mask will be packaged together in a kit. The wetsuit, weight
belt and weights are also important, though these tend to come separately
since they need more variation from person to person.
It is important that you find the gear that best fits your body. Scuba
diving fins, for example, can make it much harder to dive and navigate
if they don’t fit you properly, whereas the right fins will be
virtually unnoticeable while you are diving.
Moreover, it’s often worth it to buy a more expensive wetsuit
if you can afford it. Less expensive suits compress faster and cause
the neoprene (the material wet suits out of which wet suits are made)
to lose its insular properties.
